bdmetronews Desk ॥ A wooden boardwalk leads to the western end of Phillip Island overlooking Seal Rocks and the Nobbies, offshore rock formations said to host some 16,000 fur seals. These headlands are part of Phillip Island Nature Park, a protected wildlife reserve.
In addition to its large seal colony, the reserve and neighbouring coastal waters are home to dolphins, sharks, koalas, sea birds and probably the park’s most renowned sight – the Penguin Parade. Every evening, tens of thousands of the world’s smallest penguin species, the little penguin (really!), make their waddling way up the beach to their overnight burrows.
