Police issue warrant for soccer icon’s DNA

bdmetronews Desk ॥  Las Vegas police issue a warrant for soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo’s DNA in connection with a rape case brought against him by a woman who says he assaulted her in 2009.
Just one day after English model and TV personality Jasmine Lennard accused Cristiano Ronaldo of subjecting her to years of verbal and emotional abuse, there is a new development in the rape case against the Juventus star. The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday that the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has issued a warrant for Ronaldo’s DNA. The goal is to test it to see if it matches DNA found on the dress worn by Kathryn Mayorga on the night she claims Ronaldo raped her.

Mayorga has accused Ronaldo of raping her in a Las Vegas hotel room in 2009. She claims that he invited her up to a party in his room, and once they were alone he forced her to have anal sex with him while she begged him to stop.

Ronaldo doesn’t deny that he and Mayorga had sex. However, he maintains they had consensual sex and he did not rape her. He and his lawyers have repeatedly denied the rape allegations. They also have denied Lennard’s accusations.
